Welcome

We are a research group in power and energy technologies located in the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

The PEClab is a research laboratory in power electronics, machine drives, new energy storage systems integration and management, high performance control and multi-objective optimization in the following applications: Electric and Hybrid Vehicles, Renewable Energy, Industry (high power and voltage machines) and Utility Applications (energy transmission, power quality, active filters). The laboratory was founded in 90s by Dr. Juan Dixon and our research results are presented in several international journals and conferences.

Laboratory of Electric Vehicles

The PEClab group has the first and main research laboratory of electric mobility in Latin America. Our Electric Vehicle Laboratory has four electric and hybrid vehicles with the state-of-the-art technology. We update our vehicles in each new research project.
